TIPS TO RELIEVE BACK & NECK PAIN AT WORK

If you spend the day sitting at work and suffer from back or neck pain, you’re not alone! These discomforts are very common and are often caused by our posture and lack of movement throughout the day.

When we stay in the same position for too long, whether sitting or hunched over a computer, tension builds up in the muscles and joints, which can cause pain. But it’s not just the back and neck that suffer – our eyes also play an important role! Spending hours looking at a computer screen can lead to eye strain and even headaches. 😣

Here are some simple tips to help relieve these pains and improve your well-being throughout the day:

  1. Get up and walk! 🚶‍♀️
    Try to get up every 30 minutes to take a quick walk or stretch your legs. This helps improve circulation and relax the muscles.
  2. Do some stretching! 🤸‍♀️
    Raise your arms, stretch your back, and gently rotate your head from side to side. Don’t forget to stretch your shoulders too!
  3. Watch your posture! 🧘‍♀️
    Keep your feet flat on the floor and your monitor at eye level. Avoid slouching and adjust your chair to ensure you’re sitting comfortably and upright.
  4. Take care of your eyes! 👀
    Every 20 minutes, look at something distant for at least 20 seconds. This helps reduce eye strain. Also, adjust the lighting in your workspace to avoid screen glare.
  5. Breathe deeply! 🌬️
    Deep breathing helps release tension and brings more oxygen to your body, which can reduce stress and muscle stiffness.
